PostSubject: Anubith   Anubith I_icon_minitime24/02/11, 06:56 pm

Name: Anubith (the combination of Anubis and Thoth)

Age: presents himself as 25, but is thousands of years old (immortal)

Gender: Male

Appearance: Although able change his appearence to suit his needs, he prefers the appearence from his mortal life: silver hair, muddy red eyes, tanned skin (egyptian), and a facial scar over his right eye. He is also able to morph to his true appearance of his "god-form" which is a human body with the wings of an Ibis and the head of a jackal. This form is usually reserved for when he requires use of all of his powers or to inspire fear in mortals. Other forms would be either an Ibis or Jackal. His attire usually is an robe of all white with a hood and carries egyptian golden artifacts on his person (tributes from the past), the reason why he wears the robe is to obscure his presence from the Egyptain god Ra (robes made with his power). While in any forms he wears a intricate golden necklace with a large tear-drop shaped red gem (his materialistic form that ties him to the living realm).

Species: An Egyptain god the combination of Anubis (god of the Underworld) and Thoth (god of knowledge)

Group/Clan: The Egyptain Gods

Enemies: The Egyptain god Ra, along with all the other Egyptian gods. & those that bore him.

Allies: Those that are entertaining to him or surprise him with information given by him.

Likes: More followers for his worship, tributes of gold or other wealth, pleasent surprises, the suffering of boring individuals, starting a "new religion" for mortals to worship him under a different name. He also thinks highly of himself and of his craftyness. Also self-absorbed and a selfish person when it comes to his possessions (which range from his treasures to his worshipers).

Dislikes: Boring people, Ra (betrayed by him), those that belittle or ignore him

Overall Purpose: Assimilate Ra and eliminate the only power able to rivial his, plus for revenge. To gain the upper hand to this means Anubith creates more worshipers to gain more power, even though Ra has lost most of his worshipers due to time still remains strong (Ra is the sun and extremely powerful). His other purpose is to reveal knowledge to mortals when they are ready for it, or not (to see how well mortals respond to the information for amusement).

Background: Created at the request of Thutmose the third, due to his faithful and selfless devotion to him in the mortal world, Ra created Anubith (the combination God of Anubis and Thoth, the God of Death and Knowledge) to help Thutmose the third have campaigns of war with undead warriors and knowledge of producing weapons of war never before seen to conquer all who opposed him. Anubith is able to be rooted to the living realm by being within a jewel (which changes colors to moods), which is within a host body created by Anubith in the image of his mortal self. After the campaigns of Thutmose the 3rd, Anubith was revered as a high God (same level as Ra and Horus), large temples dedicated to his worship were constructed, tributes of gold & riches, sacrifices, and prayers (which boosted his strength). With the passing of the Thutmose, Anubith offered the next pharaoh his abilities to continue to lead Egypt to greater feats, cultural growth, and expanding the borders. The power of Anubith grew as followers grew and the wealth of the nations of the defeated given as tribute to satisfy his growing greed. Although, Anubith had the knowledge of the Cosmos he is unable to accurately predict the future of events. Soon the greed of Anubith was unable to be slain and demanded more than the pharaoh could provide, and had caught the eye of Ra and was not pleased to Anubith’s growing faults. As a result, Ra had the aid of the God of the Nile to cause the Nile to stop flowing and cause an unprecedented drought. Growing instability in the empire caused the pharaoh to order the destruction of Anubith’s temples and begged Ra to banish him from Egypt (as he was blamed for the river drying). Angered by this betrayal he claimed he would return with all the fury that he could crash down upon Egypt, and wondering in the desert. While in the desert, he gathered undead forces for the purpose of gathering followers and also warriors in the destruction of Egypt. While gathering forces he discovered an opportunity to inflict his first stab to the might of the pharaoh, a man named Moses. Posing as the so called Hebrew God to Moses, he gifted Moses with the strongest power he could, himself. Imbedding within the staff of Moses he gained access back to Egypt without drawing suspicion from Ra and allowed the plagues that allowed the freedom of the Israelites from Pharaoh Ramesses reducing the Egypt’s power. Then with the Israelites out of Egypt and a new found way of gathering followers of worshipers. Anubith gathering greater strength from the followers of the Israelites, he gathered the army of the undead to strike against Egypt (nearly destroying all of Egypt but stopped due Ra’s power). Bored with Egypt, Anubith traveled the world in observing how civilizations utilized the knowledge given to them. Starting the major religions the modern world observes, through manipulation. An example of this was the introduction of Christianity by gifting the one called “jesus” with words and minor abilities to cure, and with Jesus’s death he revived him to inspire that he was truly divine (beginning the religion, and gaining worshipers under a different name). He also revealed to other individuals such as Mohammad, Budda, Napoleon, and other individuals to observe them and to inspire potentially new followers for worship to gather strength for the coming battle with Ra in hopes to assimilate him into his being and obtain greater power as well as revenge. When giving information to humanity Anubith observes how those with the knowledge uses it and if they prove to bore him, he ends their civilization in hopes to start again with another and uses those who will worship him as undead worshipers and warriors.

PostSubject: Anubith's power   Anubith I_icon_minitime24/02/11, 07:16 pm

I realized that his power may not be immediately apparent, which is why im adding this additional post. He main power is the control of death (either in the form of preventing or causing in others), along with knowledge of the cosmos (which allows him great powers of sorcery as well as all knowledge). He also has character flaws of intense greed (of power, tribute of gold or other riches, and followers). He also has tendancies of boredom due to knowing all the information of the cosmos provides no new discoveries or new information, because of this he reveals to mortals some knowledge to see what they do with it. If they use the information in amusing or entertaining ways he allows them to live otherwise... better to amuse him lets say. He does this because while he knows everything, he does not have the ability to know the future (he may be able to correctly guess what it will be assuming variables), which allows him to not be completely bored of the living.

Seems a little.... Over used.... I mean, it's easy to copy information about a God. And hard to kill a God.. Think you could create something yourself..? I mean, Kyo and the Zetsumei are like gods, but they aren't real. o.o Just give it a shot <3 It wont take long.
