It is a Golden hourglass of white sand approximately the size of 2 cans of pop (or soda for those not of the Eastern side of America).

Weapon Affinity:
Time and life-force. The sand within the hourglass represents time and the amount of life-force a creature or person has.

Weapon Sealed Description:
When the hourglass is not targeted someone or just in a not in use, it is appears to be just an ordinate golden hourglass with brilliant white sand. When active in use of altering a creature or persons life-force it half of it changes, from an ordinate gold frame turns to bone and the white sand to black. There is also two other modifications that becomes visible that were obscure in the inactive stage, on the golden side with white sand is inscribed Life and the bone side Dust. As the sand moves from the life to dust side the sand changes from white to black. The second modification is a pin that alters the flow of sand, one direction increases the flow of sand; the other direction slows to the degree of sand moving from Dust to Life.

Background:
The Hourglass of Fate originally was created under the supervision of several powerful mages of the ancient world in order to turn those of evil to dust. Carefully guarded against misguided use, it was entrusted to the elder of the mages for safe keeping, until the time was needed for ridding the world of its greatest evil. Centuries pasted and the rebirth of Rob Holtman as part demon occurred, spreading destruction and death in his wake, with the demon within attempting to slowly corrupt the sorcerer into the depths of evil. Soon many of the mages gathered in the decision to use the Hourglass to eliminate this threat to humanity, and searched for Rob Holtman. In the encounter, many of the mages fell under the power of this new evil due to increased strengths of the arts with this new form. The Elder fearing the power of the Hourglass cried out the incantation to steal time from this beast, but was disappointed in finding that the hourglass was unsure of how much sands Rob had due to incantations of preservation tattooed into the flesh of the demon. Altering the sands power over this evil. On seeing this artifact’s ability Rob Holtman conjured a darken spike from the earth and impaled the elder, leaving the artifact to fall harmlessly to the ground. Rob reached down and tuck it away while smiling, as one of this would be many treasures to use for his amusement. Made from metals and materials unknown it is unable to be broken or altered but pulses as if it were living.
